Full-time Procurement Officer needed for an industrial/environmental company in Beaumont.  We are looking for an astute procurement officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. Responsibilities include: evaluating suppliers, products & services, negotiating contracts, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases and maintaining accurate records. This position will also pick up and deliver parts & supplies and candidate must be able to safely tie down loads. Procurement officers should have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends. Mechanical and Drilling/Dredging Equipment knowledge is a huge Plus!!  Ultimately, a top procurement officer should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards. Business hours are Monday- Friday 8 AM- 5 PM, and the starting pay is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, DOE.
