Cook needed for a Beaumont facility. We are seeking dependable, honest candidates with an exceptional work ethic and previous job longevity.
Qualified applicants must possess the ability to use existing resources to prepare hot meals, twice daily, and accommodate special needs diets as needed. Plan, prepare, and cook meals appropriate to the approved menu and dietary needs of the clients. Maintain, track and report inventory of food items and supplies. Supervise limited client activity in the kitchen, including their use of food serving utensils and equipment, cookware, and other functions. Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas exceed all applicable standards. Organize and maintain freezer and refrigerator spaces. Prepare list of necessary supplies, food orders, and other items to forward to the purchasing agent weekly. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug test, have a high school diploma or equivalent and a driver’s license with a good driving record.
This position will be for several weeks and could turn into a temp-to-hire position. Hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Starting pay is $13.00 to $17.00 per hour, DOE.
